KELOID SCARRING

What is a Keloid Scar?
A keloid scar is a raised scar left on the skin after a wound has healed. Keloid scars are usually raised, hard, smooth and shiny. They can be skin colour, pink, red, purple, brown, or darker than the skin around them.

The Procedure
After a thorough medical consultation, the doctor will administer a steroid injection into the keloid scar. The steroid helps to flatten the scar and reduces any redness, itchiness and pain.

Repeat treatments may be required every 4-6 months until the lesion is flat to the skin.

Aftercare
You can resume normal activities immediately following the treatment.
