At ESS Clinic we consider your safety our top priority. We only use Allergan approved products (Juvederm and Harmonyca) and all procedures are performed by experienced, highly skilled doctors (registered with the GMC).
What should I expect when having a treatment?
Your consultation will involve a full assessment and detailed discussion with a qualified doctor specialising in skin and aesthetic treatments. A full medical history will be taken and if you decide to go ahead with the treatment, consent will be obtained ensuring that you have a full understanding of the procedure and the cost involved.
Before photographs are taken in order to measure results and record improvements.
The filler will be carefully injected into the skin. The type of filler and technique used will depend upon site/area and depth of the wrinkles to be treated.
The treatment takes approximately 30-45 minutes depending on the area(s) of the face being treated.
When will I be able to see the results of the treatment?
You will see the results of the treatment immediately after the procedure although optimal effect is seen after 6-8 weeks. The area treated may initially appear red and swollen but this will settle within a few days.
How long do the results last?
The aesthetic effects of fillers last for 12-24 months but will vary depending on the condition of the skin, the area treated, the amount of product injected and lifestyle factors such as sun exposure and smoking.
Are there any side effects?
Side effects are rare but can include a risk of allergy to the filler, lumpiness, asymmetry and bruising.
Aftercare
Following treatment, all patients receive verbal and written aftercare advice and are offered a review appointment.
